THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG

This is an original song, in the vein of Beatles / ELO, and with an obvious David Bowie reference with 'we've both grown up a cow' lyric. What isn't so obvious is Bowie's hit 'Life On Mars' based it's chord sequence on the Frank Sinatra hit 'I Did It My Way' - which is subsequently referenced in my lyrics and song title.

The basis of the song is simple: it’s about being true to YOU, sod everyone else's opinions / judging.
